The Municipal government of Nanjing held a press conference yesterday to report the preparations for flood control in 2018. The reporter learned that according to the meteorological hydrological analysis forecast, the overall deviation of the meteorological year in our city this year, extreme weather events may increase more frequently, there will be heavy rain and floods in local areas, urban waterlogging and local flooding of small and medium-sized rivers are more likely, there are 2-3 typhoons affecting Jiangsu, one typhoon on Nanjing, the flood control situation is severe and complicated.

Reporters learned that Nanjing pre-flood inspection has been in full operation, the city's key water projects under construction has been accelerated. At present, the Yangtze River Xinjizhou River channel, Shiwu Lake Gucheng Lake, Qinhuai East River Jiuxiang River Gate Station, Chuhe River and Shuiyang River renovation projects have been completed, Qinhuai River Qinhuai District, Jiangning District comprehensive renovation project progress reached 95\%, Huangmuqiao, Yiqian River and other regional backbone river control projects progress reached 95\%; We made all-out efforts to promote flood control and flood relief projects. 43 water conservancy and flood relief projects have been completed, and 10 of the 18 flood-flooded sites have been completed, which are listed as practical issues concerning people's livelihood.

According to She Jianming, deputy inspector of the Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau, after last year's flood season, Nanjing carried out a comprehensive dredging of urban drainage pipe network, rainwater Wells and other drainage facilities. The city completed a total of 1,916.9 kilometers of main pipe drainage, 561.1 kilometers of branch pipe drainage, 159,000 manhole clearance, rain grate clearance and restoration of 131,000; In accordance with the principle of "one point and one case", emergency personnel, equipment and plans shall be determined for each point that is prone to flooding within its jurisdiction.

At the same time, Nanjing implemented various responsibility systems for flood control with the administrative head responsibility system as the core, combined with the work of "river chief system", implemented the responsibility for flood control, and published the list of persons responsible for the flood control of rivers and lakes in the city, urban flood control, flood storage and detention areas, drought-resistant areas and reservoirs.

In order to cope with the possible flood situation, Nanjing water authorities have set up eight professional rescue teams, and each district has also set up one or two socialized rescue teams.

In addition, 33 newly purchased mobile pump trucks in Nanjing have been in place, and the city has a total reserve of 5.5 million "three bags", 420,000 square meters of geotextile, 390,000 tons of stone and 4,100 cubic meters of wood.

In this year's flood season, the flood control department of the whole city will carry out 24-hour duty system, timely do a good job of flood control work in Qinhuai new River gate, Wudingmen Gate, Chuhe Hongshanyao Gate, Sanchawan Gate and other regional hubs and small and medium-sized reservoirs, strengthen the integrated flood control and drainage operation in urban areas, and strengthen the analysis of urban river water and rain conditions. Before heavy rainfall, the water levels of Xuanwu Lake, Crescent Lake, Jinchuan River, Qinhuai River and other rivers and lakes will be lowered and emptied to improve urban flood control and drainage conditions.
