2016 is the first year of Nanjing Water. At the beginning of the New Year, the city suffered from -6-10 ℃ "Bawang level" extreme freezing weather, a large number of water pipes, water meters were broken by the cold. The city's water supply industry rushed to repair more than 70,000 water meters and more than 7,000 pipes to ensure that the people would not be affected by the Spring Festival, and successfully resisted the severe test of freezing water supply.

Focusing on building a new water development pattern that guarantees people's livelihood, serves people's livelihood, improves people's livelihood, and benefits people's livelihood, another major focus of Nanjing Water construction this year is to arrange a number of water construction projects for people's livelihood, and strive to enhance people's sense of gain and satisfaction. Among them: the completion of the construction of 109 black and smelly river control projects; We completed the renovation of 41 urban flooded areas, including Youyi Village and Wukesong. We completed the renovation of secondary water supply facilities in 200 old residential areas in the main city. To complete the construction and upgrading of 100 kilometers of urban and rural water supply pipelines; The 150,000 tons/day emergency water supply project in the main urban area has been basically completed. To implement the construction of sewage treatment facilities in the north, east and Jiangxinzhou of the city; Implementing the construction project of sewage network in the main city; Implementation of the main city water system connectivity project (chemical fiber water plant expansion and water transmission line, Qiaobi Sewage Plant phase I, water purification plant and supporting facilities construction, implementation of the inner Qinhuai River, Jinchuan River, Crescent Lake, Xuanwu Lake and other important urban water system connectivity project), start the comprehensive improvement of Nanhe water environment; We will move forward with the Greenwater Bay and other emergency backup water source projects. Zhang Xiaoke, director of the Municipal Water Bureau, said that many tasks in 2017 are hard tasks that must be completed. The municipal government has made a solemn commitment to the general public, and the water department has also made a military writ in black and white, which must be completed faithfully. We will push forward the implementation of key projects through responsibility reversal.
