The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs planned key tasks for agricultural mechanization during the 14th Five-Year Plan

This network news recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs held agricultural mechanization work meeting in Beijing, planning the "14th Five-Year" agricultural mechanization key tasks, deployment of this year's key work. Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Zhang Taolin attended the meeting and made a speech.

The meeting pointed out that agricultural mechanization is an important part of building modern agriculture. Agricultural mechanization departments at all levels should focus on the work orientation of "ensuring supply and maintaining safety, revitalizing circulation", focus on the goals and tasks of "ensuring supply, linking up, banning fishing, construction, key points and reform", scientifically plan the key tasks of the "14th Five-Year Plan", and effectively support the development of modern agriculture and all-round rural revitalization.

The meeting stressed the need to support the supply guarantee, strengthen the research and development of core technologies and key equipment, and push all industries, regions and links to achieve full coverage of mechanization, so as to provide support for ensuring the security of the supply of grain and other important agricultural products. We should work together to speed up mechanization in hilly and mountainous areas, old revolutionary base areas, and border and remote areas, and consolidate and expand our achievements in poverty alleviation and effectively link them with rural revitalization. We need to accelerate the development of mechanization and intelligence, and actively participate in the development of modern facility agriculture, smart agriculture and digital countryside. We should focus on the key points and closely integrate mechanization with variety breeding, improving the quality of cultivated land, and promoting green and low-carbon development. We should pay attention to the ban on fishing and make precise connections to meet the needs of fishermen in the Yangtze River basin for mechanization technology and equipment. It is necessary to integrate into the reform, vigorously develop the socialized service of agricultural machinery, promote the innovation of agricultural production relations and management mode with mechanization, and play a role in realizing the organic connection between small farmers and modern agriculture.

The meeting also made arrangements for key work in 2021, including the drawing up of a list of weaknesses in agricultural machinery, ensuring stable grain yield increase and reduction of machinery revenue through mechanization, subsidies for the purchase of agricultural machinery, the implementation of the action plan for conservation farming in Northeast China's black land, and the safe production of agricultural machinery.
