In order to fight the battle of port pollution prevention and control in Nanjing Pukou District, Pukou District Transport Bureau took the initiative, actively coordinated and took multiple measures to steadily promote the water pollution prevention and control of ports and wharfs along the river.

Make good connection with Pukou Ecological Environment Bureau, Water Bureau, Development Zone, Municipal Maritime Administration and other functional departments, lead the establishment of Pukou Port and Wharf Water pollution Control Leading Group Office, clarify the division of responsibilities, carry out enterprise mobilization, and further implement the main responsibilities of port enterprises for water pollution control facilities construction and the supervision responsibilities of relevant functional departments. To ensure that the prevention and control of water pollution work is not interrupted, not disjointed.

We will strengthen supervision and inspection of environmental protection of port enterprises along the Yangtze River, and put forward plans to renovate or update port terminals whose existing water pollution prevention and control facilities do not meet the requirements. From the end of March 2018 to October 2019, the Pukou District Transport Bureau will take the lead and cooperate with the ecological environment, water and other departments of the district to inspect the construction and operation of stormwater collection and treatment facilities of relevant enterprises, the reception and disposal of pollutants from ships, the emergency plans for pollution prevention and control and the books of relevant enterprises on a monthly basis, and inform the enterprises of existing problems in writing. And put forward rectification requirements, up to now, there have been 3 port enterprises completed the construction and transformation of water pollution control facilities, and passed the joint acceptance of the relevant departments of the district.

It led the formulation of a long-term mechanism and joint supervision system for water pollution prevention and control at ports and wharfs in Pukou District, and realized joint law enforcement by multiple departments of transportation, environmental protection and water affairs. At the same time, the "look back" work should be carried out regularly, and standing books should be collected, sorted and made according to the requirements of "One acceptance standing book for one enterprise" and one sales standing book for one district ", so as to carry out the sales work of port and wharf water pollution prevention and control, standardize port and wharf water pollution prevention and control, and improve and consolidate the prevention and control results.
