The water quality of the Yangtze River centralized drinking water source has been stable at 100\%.

During the flood season last year, the Shuren School in Nanjing section of the Yangtze River was in danger. At present, the dam reinforcement project is under intense construction. Long Xiang stressed that the implementation of the "river chief system" is an important decision of water environment governance, and the inspection is to implement the "river chief system" with concrete actions. All levels and departments should attach great importance to and fully understand its importance, and do a good job in promoting the "river chief system".

Long Xiang pointed out that the Yangtze River is the most important natural ecological resource of Nanjing, and the flood control and pollution control work in Nanjing section of the Yangtze River must be placed in a more important position. On the next step of flood control and pollution control work, he put forward three requirements. First, the comprehensive improvement of flood control capacity in Nanjing section of the Yangtze River.
