In the form of orders from river chiefs in Guangdong, Anhui and other provinces, high levels of efforts have been made to clean up the four unordered areas, that is, to clean up unordered occupation, exploitation, unordered piles and unordered construction.

Minister of Water Resources E Jingping said at the national Water conservancy conference on 15th that the main contradiction in water management has changed from the contradiction between the people's demand for water disaster and the lack of water conservancy engineering capacity to the contradiction between the people's demand for water resources and water ecological environment and the lack of water conservancy industry supervision capacity.
