Nanjing to launch 285 water projects to pilot 'contract water saving' in 2019

We promoted the treatment of 91 water bodies with bad V quality in the city

The relevant person in charge of Nanjing Water Bureau introduced that in 2019, Nanjing will promote the treatment of 91 bad V water bodies as a whole to further consolidate the remediation effect of black and smelly water bodies in the city. We will push forward the water quality standards of major river inlet channels such as Baota Bridge of Jinchuan River, Sancha Estuary of the Outer Qinhuai River, Hongshan Bridge of the east branch of the North Lichanggou River, and ensure that the water quality of the seven major river inlet tributaries under provincial control in Nanjing reaches the standards steadily.

At the same time, the water authorities will improve the quality of important urban water bodies, speed up the construction of the Qinhuai River, Mochou Lake and other important urban water bodies, and strive to meet the surface water class IV standard of eight major urban water bodies by the end of the year, so as to bring a beautiful and pleasant water ecological environment to citizens.

In terms of water projects, we will accelerate the construction of watershed and regional key water conservancy projects in 2019, focusing on the Yangtze River bank collapse control, the Baguazhou branch renovation project, and strive to start construction of the first phase of the Qinhuai East River project; We will improve water conservancy in the Chuhe River, Shuiyang River and Qinhuai River main streams.
