On the afternoon of February 18, Mayor LAN Shaomin once again scheduled the water quality improvement work of the outer Qinhuai River.  City leaders Li Shigui, Huo Huiping attended.

LAN Shaomin inspected the construction progress of water control projects in Guanmen Pumping Station in Qinhuai District and Yudai Pumping Station in Jiangning District, the important nodes of the outer Qinhuai River system, and learned about the progress of rain and pollution diversion, drainage renovation, source control and pollution intercepting in the regions along the route. He demanded that both symptoms and root causes should be addressed, and improvements should be accelerated to ensure that all projects are completed on schedule and improve the quality of the water environment from the source. In Qiqiao Weng water automatic monitoring station, LAN Shaomin asked the staff how to monitor and collect the water quality data in detail, and how to transmit the analysis results. He pointed out that we should strengthen the application of new technologies in environmental protection, improve water management modernization and information technology, and ensure the real-time and accurate collection and processing of water quality information.

After listening to the Qinhuai River water quality control and the city's water pollution control work report, LAN Shaomin fully affirmed the effectiveness of the city's water control work last year. He pointed out that this year is a key year for the prevention and control of water pollution, and it is more difficult, demanding and arduous to do a good job in this regard. All levels and departments of the city should always adhere to scientific water control, guided by special plans such as urban and rural domestic sewage treatment and main and secondary main sewage pipes in the main city, and make every effort to promote the prevention and control of water pollution; Adhere to the system of water control, system thinking, overall linkage, progress together, to ensure that the annual water quality improvement target completed; We will take precise measures to control water, focus on problems, address major problems, and effectively and orderly improve the water environment.
