Digging, loading, transporting, unloading and rolling, the roar of the machine was heard continuously. Here is the implementation of Lishui District Shijiu Lake dike flood control capacity improvement project of the second year, construction personnel to Honglan, He Feng section Shijiu Lake dike and through the building reinforcement, in order to comprehensively improve the dike flood control capacity, it is planned to be completed in November this year.

Yesterday, on the Zhantianwei dike of Shijiu Lake, the operators braved the cold wind and poured the concrete at the foot of the slope facing the water methodically under the dispatch of the field command. The transport vehicles on the top of the dike kept shuttling, busy transporting soil to increase the height and thickness of the dike. "Last July, Shijiu Lake water level broke the historical record, the highest 13.01 meters, the worst dike danger is here, a number of leakage also concentrated 6 pipe gushing, gushing water muddy, rescue construction is very difficult. This year, we will carry out projects to eliminate risks. The front is blocked and the back is empty, and the dike has been widened. Next year, we will not be afraid of floods again." The person in charge of the site said that a total of 13 teams were working at Dongdawei, Lianhe Wei and Wushi Wei along the route at the same time. A total of 700 workers, 55 excavators, 15 rollers and 130 transport vehicles were put into the site.

Shijiu Lake is the largest regulating and storing lake in the city. Before the dam reinforcement, some dikes have thin section, and the slope protection has been seriously damaged by wind and waves, and the buildings along the line have been damaged over the years, so there are serious flood control risks.

Hao Jiping, deputy director of Lishui District Water Bureau, introduced that the project to improve the flood control capacity of Shijiu Lake dike was officially launched in October 2015, which is also the largest single project in the history of water conservancy construction in the region, with a total investment of about 472 million yuan, mainly strengthening the 32 lake dikes and port dikes along the line, preventing levee leakage, demolition, construction and renovation of buildings along the line. Build and strengthen the waterward slope protection and set foot, riprap, through the top of the embankment asphalt flood control road, the project flood control standard is once in 40 years. "The project was originally planned to be carried out in three years. In view of the frequent occurrence of extreme water and rain in the past two years, the whole region has added pressure. The three-year task has been completed in two years, and it is planned to be completed in November this year. At present, the overall progress of the project is about 67 %, and the remaining construction tasks are still difficult." Hao Jiping said.
