Chengnan Sewage Treatment Plant: After expansion, "remote service" Hexi residents

The load difference of sewage treatment plants in Nanjing is great, and the impact includes sewage backpouring into the river to pollute the river course and the bottom of sewage treatment efficiency. Among them, Jiangxinzhou, North of the city, the first and second phase of the city there are problems of "large water intake, high water level operation". If part of the sewage is transported to the sewage plant with surplus treatment capacity, the operation efficiency of the sewage system and the utilization rate of facilities can be improved.

Taking Hexi Area as an example, in the early stage of development, the amount of sewage was small, and all the sewage in the south of Hexi was included in the service range of Jiangxinzhou sewage treatment system. However, with the acceleration of development in the south of Hexi, the long-term load was larger. Therefore, Nanjing plans to integrate all the sewage from the 14 square kilometers south of Weiba Road and Jiangshan Street into the sewage treatment system in the southern part of the city.

The Seongnam Sewage Treatment Plant currently has a daily treatment capacity of 50,000 cubic meters, mainly serving Pangyo and the southern part of Hexi. The expansion project of the Seongnam Sewage Treatment Plant, which started this year, is planned to be expanded on a scale of 150,000 cubic meters per day, and the total daily treatment scale will reach 200,000 cubic meters in the future. On the other hand, the expansion will realize the interconnection between Chengnan and Jiangxinzhou sewage Treatment Plant, which can share the pressure of sewage digestion for Jiangxinzhou sewage treatment plant when needed.

According to reports, the water department will focus on the main city, deputy city, part of the new city area of sewage plants interconnection, including Chengbei - Tiebei, Tiebei - Xianlin, Chengdong - Jiangning City, a total of 10 groups, a total dispatch scale of 750,000 m3/d, including the main city of a total of 3 groups, the scale of 340,000 m3/d.

Jiangxinzhou Sewage Treatment Plant: Upgrading to protect Yangtze River water resources

Jiangxinzhou Sewage Treatment Plant is the largest sewage treatment plant in Jiangsu Province, and its Grade A upgrading project started construction in May 2017. The main project is to upgrade the plant by 640,000 cubic meters/day, and increase the sewage treatment capacity by 30,000 cubic meters/day at the same time. After the upgrading and expansion, the total scale reaches 670,000 cubic meters/day. All effluent shall be subject to Level A of Pollutant Discharge Standards for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants.

According to water experts, the upgrading project can effectively protect the Yangtze River water resources, improve the quality of the water environment in Nanjing and its surrounding areas, and greatly improve the safety and reliability of sewage treatment in half of the city.

Qiaobei Sewage Treatment Plant: adapt to the development of Jiangbei New Area

This year, Nanjing plans to complete the expansion of the Qiaobei sewage treatment plant.

Qiaobi Sewage Treatment Plant mainly serves the core area of Jiangbei New District. The original design scale is 100,000 cubic meters/day. At present, the water intake of Qiaobi Sewage Treatment plant has exceeded the treatment capacity of 100,000 cubic meters/day of phase I, and it has been running at full load or even overload.

It is expected that when the expansion is completed, the total daily processing capacity will be 200,000 cubic meters.

Tiebei Sewage Treatment Plant: help Jinchuan River pollution control

This year, Nanjing will also complete the expansion of the Tiebei sewage Treatment Plant in the north of the city, which has seen a gradual increase in water volume since the completion of the second phase of expansion and upgrading.

At present, the water intake of Tiebei Sewage Treatment Plant has exceeded the treatment capacity of 100,000 cubic meters per day in the first and second phase. The third phase expansion project of Tiebei Sewage Treatment Plant plans to expand the sewage treatment facility of 95,000 cubic meters per day, after which the total scale of the sewage treatment plant will reach the treatment capacity of 195,000 cubic meters per day.

It is reported that the new sewage treatment capacity will become a strong helper of Jinchuan River pollution control.
